What is going on in the images?

The images on the webbedfeat.co.uk website were taken in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. They show close-ups of the modular sea defence barrier installed to protect the new seawall on the stretch of coast between Ventnor and Bonchurch.

So What?

These modules are an interesting design, much like the metal jacks you may have played with as a child… each piece is about 2 meters cubed and shaped to enable a collection of them to bind faster rather than separate in stormy weather conditions.

A real life example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.
